I am trying to update the firmware of a CPU Slimline Cortex using the latest firmware version, the one with code PCK043B000. I followed the directions provided by this document but without success. FTP transfer of the .upl file systematically fails. I'm using Filezilla as a client, any suggestions?
May 9, 2018 at 12: 13 pm #44017MassimoModeratingWhich dir is it loading the .upl file into? The only large enough is the dir Project, eliminating any project file already present. Or if you have the SDCard, you can load it into it.
When loading this PCK043B000, I remind you that the system will lose any files present and will be restored to factory conditions (eg: The IP will be set by DHCP or if the DHCP server is not present, it will be 192.168.0.122). The reason is related to the fact that a new file system is used with it and the old is no longer supported.
May 14, 2018 at 9: 28 am #44075PaulParticipantI was able to load the new firmware (Pck043B000.upl) using Toolly via COM0. I would also like to upload web pages (Mdp020d100), in which folder should I transfer them?
May 14, 2018 at 10: 08 am #44087Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumThe PCK043B000 updates the operating system to the SFW198C000 version which, as seen from release notes leads to a substantial change in the file system. If the update is performed from an Ethernet connection, the system autonomously executes a format command on the entire C: disk (Flash memory inside the system).
If, on the other hand, the update is performed as in your case from the serial port, after the update (in Catch condition) you will have to execute the command from the serial port Format C: to format the disk and then the command CfgCommit -d to re-create the system configuration file on the disk.
Restarting the system you will be able to connect via ethernet, as DHCP will be active, to know the IP address of the system you can use the utility Discover by Toolly. Now with an FTP client (You can use Windows Explorer) you will need to create the folder C:\Web and transfer all the contents of the MDP020 to the folder.

In the procedure indicated by Toolly (Firmware Updater) it says to:
1) Switch off the PLC
2) Set the LK9 jumper to ON
3) Switch on the PLC and wait for 10 seconds
4) Switch off the PLC
5) Remove the jumper and connect the serial cable to COM0
6) Turn on the PLC, select the .upl file and click on send
7) Click on start in the dialog that opens at the end of uploadIt all seems correct but a simple step is missing, i.e. before turning the PLC back on between point 5 and point 6 you need to put the jumper on LK9 in the OFF position otherwise the RDY LED does not light up and the PLC remains in ERROR (in the status window of LogicLab). It seems trivial but the fact that normally the jumper on LK9 OFF is not misleading and also the "remove the jumper" in the Toolly guide can mislead.
February 4, 2019 at 2: 27 pm #46562Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumIn fact, Toolly is told to remove the jumper and not to place it in the OFF position. But the OFF position actually consists of two pins not connected to any signal that have been placed only as a support magazine for the jumper.
Therefore, removing it or positioning it on OFF is equivalent in function.

Is it possible to move all the original pages to a subfolder of C: \ Web (eg admin)? To have the login page and access the configuration, it will be sufficient to type IP / admin? The name of the dynamic page, for it to be opened automatically, is it enough that it is index.html?
I ask this because in the root folder of C: \ Web there is no index.html or default page. html.
