I'm struggling with the configuration of an 3G / 4G key on CMT SVR 100. The key is Vodafone branded, the technology is Huawei KS150. From the content of the CMT registers it seems that it does not recognize any device.
Does anyone have experience with this operation?
June 4, 2019 at 10: 06 am #47975Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumHere is a list of the dongles used to test.
Huawei E3531S-2
Huawei E353S
Huawei K4606
D-link DWM-157
D-Link DWM-222Surely also other dongles are managed, I am attaching to the download the project CMT-SVR Cellular test which I use to perform the tests. The program is developed with the 6.02.02 version of EasyBuilderPro you can download from the site.
From a quick search I see that your dongle operates in HiLink mode and not in modem mode, this could be a problem.

I try the Cellular Test and eventually try to change the flash drive.June 21, 2019 at 6: 31 am #48284johnnyba71ParticipantI have used the D-Link DWM-157 key with Vodafone SIM without any problems.
I currently use this connection to send measurement data that I collect with the CMT.
Through the same connection, since the IP that the operator provides me is not static, can I still reach the CMT through CMT Viewer or the other configuration tools?
June 21, 2019 at 6: 34 am #48290Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumNormally the IP provided on 3G / 4G connections is not only not static (which could be worked around with a Dynamic DNS) but it is also NATtato and this unfortunately is not easily bypassed.
But Weintek has thought of it, using EasyAccess you can reach both the CMT and any connected devices eg the PLC being able to remotely debug and reprogram.
June 30, 2021 at 8: 27 am #60438raginiParticipantHi there,
I am trying to connect cMT SVR 102 through 4G Wifi dongle via the USB port. The dongle that I am using is the HONUTIGE 4G LTE USB bought on Amazon
However, the dongle is not getting recognized by the cMT SVR on EasyBuilder Pro. I'd appreciate any help / feedback on that.
June 30, 2021 at 8: 31 am #60441Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumWeintek has tested some USB dongles, the list is shown in the previous post and on the description page of the product. Of course, other dongles can also work but unfortunately there is no way to configure them, if by inserting the dongle in the cMT this is not recognized, nothing can be done.
You can investigate if the CMT recognizes the dongle via the panel variables indicated on the page Cellular Data Network (Screenshot).
I advise you to create a page on the panel in which you see the value of all the variables involved and check if the failure can be determined by your error (Example the SIM PIN). But if the cMT does not recognize the dongle as connected (LW-11379 = 0) there is no way to act.

December 17, 2022 at 9: 39 am #68898AleCorsiParticipantI have to install a cMT-SVR102 with dongle (I'll look for one of those reported in the tested); I can't understand, having never used any with 3/4G, if I have to keep the connection always active to arrive with EasyAccess to debug the connected PLC.
December 19, 2022 at 8: 19 am #68905Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumOf course, the connection to the network (and therefore to the Internet) must always be active, but if you do not access the device, the data exchanged on the network are irrelevant.
