I should connect a MITOS panel to a GD350 inverter, is there a connection diagram?
February 14, 2023 at 5: 13 pm #70184Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumThe operator panel for inverter control MITOS VT6 connects via RS485 serial to the inverter. Since it can be powered from 9 to 30Vdc for its power supply it is possible to use the 24Vdc supplied by the inverter, here is the connection scheme. For connection wiring you can use:
- RJ45-M adapter with removable terminals o RJ45 plugs, we recommend using a shielded cable and the 485 +/- signals must be twisted.
- T568A Ethernet patch cable, by cutting a connector and using the wires +24Vdc:White/Green, GND:Brown, RS485+:Blue, RS485-:White/Blue.
- T568B Ethernet patch cable, cutting a connector and using the wires +24Vdc:White/Orange, GND:Brown, RS485+:Blue, RS485-:White/Blue.
February 15, 2023 at 4: 56 pm #70247AuthorlessIdleI made the connections as described, but the message appears on the MITOS terminal display
Allarme inverter sconosciuto
And the E18 alarm appears on the inverter
18: 485 communication fault (CE )
What could be the problem?
February 15, 2023 at 4: 59 pm #70249Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumThe operator panel is programmed to automatically recognize the model of inverter to which it is connected. Of course, in order to identify the model, it must read the register with the inverter model in Modbus. The communication parameters of the panel are the default ones of the inverter:
- P14.00=1: Local communication address (Set to 1).
- P14.01=4: Communication baud rate (Sep to 19200).
- P14.02=1: Data bit check (Set to Even parity (E, 8, 1) for RTU).
- P14.03=5: Communication response delay (Set to 5mS).
Try to check that these parameters are set correctly.
February 22, 2023 at 2: 29 pm #70501AuthorlessIdleI have checked both the wiring and the parameters and everything seems correct to me.
When switched on, the inverter works for a certain period, then alarm E18 appears and stops working.
What can I do?
February 22, 2023 at 2: 31 pm #70503Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumThere is probably some communication problem between the Mitos terminal and the inverter, in the event of a communication error the inverter stops. As a solution you could operate on 2 parameters:
- P14.04 Communication timeout period: Setting it to “0” disables the Modbus communication timeout check.
- P14.05 Transmission error processing: By setting it to 1, the inverter continues to operate even in the event of a communication error.
Note: When switched on, the Mitos terminal automatically sets parameter P14.04 to 2 seconds, therefore to disable the control act on P14.05.
Alternatively, if you turn on the inverter without the Mitos terminal connected, the inverter does not detect it and therefore works without problems.
