We have installed and have been using the HWg-PDMS v. 2.1.7 (licensed for 20 devices). Upon activation, the application informs me that a new version is available, so I proceeded to manually download version 2.2.3 (file hwg-pdms_2-2-3.exe) from your site. What is the correct procedure for updating
Besides closing the application, do I also have to stop running it in the background and possibly even uninstall it?
Should the various configurations be lost?
Are there any other things to keep in mind when upgrading?Of course, to upgrade you need to close the application and stop it from running in the background (As a service). Once this is done, install the new version, reactivating its execution, the application will restart with all the previous settings.
So by simply installing the new firmware, the old one will be automatically replaced and all configurations and licenses will remain as before.
