Hello I'm new to the forum, I use the Weintek MT8050iE and MT8073iE series panels I wanted to ask how to connect them to the network to allow a remote connection of the PLC these panels are connected to Omron PLC in serial.
The remote connection to the panel and consequently to the PLC (s) connected to the panel always passes through EasyAccess. Even if the connection to the PLC in Ethernet is the simplest and most reliable one, it is also possible to use the serial connection.
From EasyAccess, if the panel is online, it will be reachable with the IP address indicated, once the connection is activated, using the program Utility Manager from the menu Analysis & Testing, activate the function Serial Pass-Through. If not installed, you will be prompted to install the driver Virtual COM port.
Set the IP address of the terminal (the one displayed on EasyAccess) and the COM port to which the PLC is connected. With the key Apply apply and settings, now you will find a new COM port in the PC (COM6 in the example), by defining this port in the Omron programming tool you will be connected to the PLC (Screenshot).
