tagged: datalogger, signals
Hi I would need to read a 4 ÷ 20mA signal and save it to file. I am asked to save on file for a month with a sampling of 0.5s (2 data per second).
The ideal would also be to have a display to view the signal in 4 ÷ 20mA.
What kind of hardware do you recommend?
For the data logger you can use a CPU module SlimLine MPS054 which also has the SDCard slot for the data file. In this article find the program DataLoggerOnCSVFile which is very close to your need.
If you want to add the automatic transfer of the log file to a remote FTP server you can refer to the chapter Datalogger with automatic file transfer on FTP server in this article.
For viewing you can create a web page on the SlimLine accessible from a browser. But if you really need a physical display you can put an operator panel as this.
Alternatively, if you want to indulge yourself with a bit of bricolage you can use a simple LCD display connected to the extension bus (See topic).
