We are setting up a mobile device with wireless data connection and we are selecting the products that will subsequently be used for production. We have seen your range of Conel routers and we are interested in a solution equipped with a GPS receiver.
You can give us more information about it.

As you can see from the page, it is possible to set the module to send NMEA sentences at predefined times (The receiver uses the NMEA 0183 format) both on serial and / or USB expansion ports and on remote TCP connections. This allows you to receive data from the mobile device on your cloud server and manage the location through geo-positioning software. It is also possible to set the router to send SNMP traps with the GPS receiver data. From the product web pages of our site (Download section at the bottom of the page) you can download the application note of the GPS software module. The advantage of being able to send data both in TCP and SNMP TRAP allows you to update the remote server even with wireless connections that do not have public IP and without having to create VPN networks, as the router acts as a client on the Internet.

October 8, 2014 at 6: 31 am #38451Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumI asked the supplier for a report with the coordinates as captured by the router, I attach the report. As you can see, the router sends a series of NMEA sentences every 60 seconds.
$ GPGSV - GPS Satellites in view
$ GPGGA - Global Positioning System Fix Data
$ GPVTG - Track made good and ground speed
$ GPRMC - Recommended minimum specific GPS / Transit data
$ GPGSA - GPS DOP and active satellitesI'm no expert on NMEA sentences but browsing the Internet is a sea of information. To know the position you have to use the sentence $ GPGGA, 044144.0,4958.300677, N,01623.389120, E, 1,04,3.6,344.0, M, 44.0, M ,, * 5D
As you can see from the screenshot by setting the data in a geolocation service (I used the one offered by coordinates-gps.it) you can view the location of the router that sent the NMEA sentences.
