After installing the UniFi software on a Linux server, I report the steps followed in case they may be useful to others - Downloaded from the site TurnKey an ISO image of a core server TurnKey Core Common Base for All Appliances. It is a server based on Debian 7.2 (Wheezy). - Edited the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/sources.list inserting the repositories “deb http://www.ubnt.com/downloads/unifi/distros/deb/wheezy wheezy ubiquiti ”and“ deb http://downloads-distro.mongodb.org/repo/debian-sysvinit dist 10gen ”and retrieved the package information with the command apt-get update.- Installation completed apt-get install unifi. While installing mongodb a message like this is displayed WARNING: The following packages can not be authenticated!. Choose to continue without authentication by typing “y”. - Run the service service unifi start. If a type error is returned Can not locate Java Home, you need to check in the file /etc/init.d/unifi the java installation directory. In my case I modified the definition JAVA_HOME = / usr / lib / jvm / java-6-openjdk-amd64.- When the service has started running, opening the IP address of the server port 8443 from a browser https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8443 the controller configuration login page will be displayed. Warning! In order to access the web page after installation I had to restart the server. The UniFi controller program starts automatically as a service when the server starts.
