Home > Forum > SlimLine (Raspberry) > Meaning LED on Ethernet connector
I open this topic to answer all those who ask me the meaning of the 2 LEDs on the Ethernet connector of our module SlimLine Raspberry.
The module is based on Raspberry Pi 3B +, this module has a pseudo-gigabit network. The interface is a gigabit port but runs on the USB2 bus, so the throughput is actually around 300 Mb / s. To diagnose network problems, the Raspberry Pi developers used LEDs to indicate interface speed.
10/100 Mb network: Yellow LED off and green LED on which flashes if there is network activity.
1000 Mb network: Green LED off and yellow LED on which flashes if there is network activity.
