Home > Forum > Interface converters > Virtual serial port test on ATC-1200 device
On Windows 10 I installed the AXR2E program, created COM2 as a serial interface.
The port is detected in the Windows devices, the utility sees it connected in green, but from the COM TERMINAL board once the connection is established and the self test has been performed, looking at the LEDs on the board and on the connected device there does not seem to be any communication, LEDs are always off.
From PUTTY the connection to COM2 is not opened either.
How can I tell if it is a windows or ATC-1200 problem?
In the meantime, I suggest you try our Toolly program as suggested in this topic. In this way you verify that the converter is correctly configured and that it accepts the TCP or UDP connection (It depends on how you have configured it) and that the characters sent from the network are transmitted on the serial and vice versa.
If everything works with this test, then the problem lies in the port configuration in the AXR2E utility.
It was a problem on the physical cable, all fixed.
