The new version of LogicLab has added a new Ladder Diagram editor, this editor is fully IEC compliant and to do this has lost some drawing features. In the old editor version was possibile to draw lines to connect object pins, in this new this is not possible, all the drawing is guided.
Anyway you can choose to still use the old editor (Even if this is discouraged), to to this you must deselect the Use new LD edito option in the Project -> Option (See screenshot).
With the new editor to connect objects to pins in a new branch you must use the variable object instead of open a new branch. In this screenshot the two editors are compared.
