Home > Forum > Products radio modems > Information on D5 series radiomodems with Ethernet
I insert this topic to report additional information on D5 series radiomodems with the ethernet interface. In practice it is possible to connect to the radiomodem in TCP in client mode and send Modbus over IP packets, the data will be transmitted in RF and can be received by other radiomodems.
If they are radiomodems with RS485 serial output the received data will be transmitted on the RS485 converted into Modbus RTU and sent to the connected equipment.
The device to which the packet (node ID) is addressed will respond, and the radiomodem will convert the packet from RTU to Modbus TCP that will be received by the master from the ethernet connection.
