I wanted a confirmation on the characteristics of the SDM630MCT energy meter. In particular:
- Can the instrument be inserted on a 400V three-phase line?
- Is its maximum range 5A?
- Can I use CTs on the line and relate to 5A?
- What does PT mean (1 to 500000 V)
- What does CT current mean?
- At what voltage is the instrument powered?October 24, 2017 at 2: 20 pm #39999Sergio BertanaAdministrator ForumIl SDM630MCT energy meter it is a convenient solution for measuring and displaying power and electrical quality parameters, easy to program and has a friendly navigation. As the user manual says (Download from the site) it can work with phase / neutral voltages from 100 to 295 Vac and phase / phase voltages from 173 to 500 Vac so it is certainly suitable for operating on 400 Vac three-phase lines.
The instrument is powered with a voltage from 85 to 275 Vac. Its rated capacity is 5A but it is designed to be able to use external current transformers that are related to its rated 5A.
With the company parametro CT the CT is configured by setting the secondary current (1 or 5 A) and the transformation ratio. For example, if a 100/5 CT is used, a current of 5A and a ratio of 20 will be set. In the same way, the use of a voltage transformer is envisaged if the instrument is inserted on higher voltage lines.
With the company parametro PT you configure the transformer, setting the secondary voltage (from 100 to 500 V) and the transformation ratio. If, for example, an 1000 / 100 transformer is used, a voltage of 100V and an 10 ratio will be set.
Attenzione, lo strumento da noi gestito è certificato MID, quindi i parametri CT e PT possono essere impostati una sola volta.
