Home > Forum > Operator terminals (Weintek) > Send email with MT8071IE terminal
I need help to find out if it's possible to send emails containing data. Use of MT8071IE terminals connected in LAN to a router and through Rs485 to ABB PM554T PLCs. Normally I use the terminal to send alarm emails to various clients' emails.
Now I need to send a word where a machine's work time is indicated by email, or if possible create a data file that the customer can open in his email to create a history.
I cannot proceed, I tried to insert a reading variable on the Event Log (alarms), but the variable does not appear on the email, but only the alarm generated by the active Bit.
There are several possibilities:
1 - create a data record, in order to record the various data on file and then with the backup function send the logs via email in csv format.
2- create an alarm, a bit example with a watch inside the message (display of the word variable) so as to send the data to each alarm generation.
