Il DD-WRT (Vedi sito) è un firmware Linux-based sviluppato per molti router wireless commerciali equipaggiati con processori Atheros e Broadcoam e rilasciato sotto la licenza GPL.
Il firmware implementa diverse funzionalità avanzate non presenti nelle versioni OEM, tra cui il WDS Wireless Bridging, il QOS avanzato, l’autenticazione Radius per maggior sicurezza nelle connessioni wifi, e inoltre diversi parametri relativi all’hardware dei router wifi come ad esempio il controllo della potenza d’uscita in antenna o la possibilità di overclocking dei processori.
Facendo riferimento al sito ho visto che il firmware è disponibile per una vasta gamma di prodotti Ubiquiti, link alla pagina dei prodotti Ubiquiti supportati (www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices#Ubiquiti). Ecco il report delle operazioni di caricamento come riportate nella pagina Wiki.

Upgrading Ubiquiti to DD-WRT v24 (the same procedure works for other Ubiquiti products as well, just the files and filenames are different)
Direct ethernet cable connection between PC and LiteStation, Network settings of PC: 192.168.1.254/255.255.255.0
TFTP client on PC
LiteStation firmware file (e.g. LS2.dd-wrt.bin for LiteStation2)
Flashing procedure:
Please ensure that the latest firmware revision of Ubiquiti is already installed using the web upgrade utility (e.g.V 2.1.9). If not, please reflash it using the Ubiquiti LS2 web interface. This is important to ensure that the latest RedBoot bootloader is installed.
1) Power off the device and power it on again while holding the reset button for about ~10 seconds
2) Flash LS2.dd-wrt.bin using tftp to 192.168.1.20 in binary mode
3) Windows: tftp -i 192.168.1.20 put LS2.dd-wrt.bin
4) Linux/Unix/MacOS X: tftp 192.168.1.20
1) tftp> bin
2) tftp> put LS5.dd-wrt.bin
3) tftp> exit
5) After successfully flashing the unit will be accessible with web on 192.168.1.1
